The CKC Foundation, a nationally registered charity, is pleased to announce up to $20,000 in funding for new “Pawsitivity” grants in 2015. CKCF “Pawsitivity” grants are awarded with the primary objective of enhancing the health and welfare of dogs in Canada by supporting education on the diverse and beneficial role of dogs in society.
Pawsitivity Grant Opportunities
The types of activities envisioned for support could include service dog training, advocacy of canine-friendly legislation, promotion of responsible dog ownership, the benefits of dogs to society, or education on breeding healthy and well-adjusted dogs. “Pawsitivity” grants are in addition to the funding the foundation provides for scientific research into canine health issues.
Recipient Eligibility
CKCF grants recipients must be an eligible recipient for funds from a registered charity as defined by The Income Tax Act and able to issue official tax receipts for donations received. However, in certain circumstances, and on a case-by-case basis, the CKCF may enter into agency agreements with groups that are NOT eligible under The Income Tax Act by contracting that organization to act as its agent in carrying out initiatives on the Foundation’s behalf.

CKC Foundation Gala Cocktail Party
Please join us for an evening of elegance at the CKC Foundation Gala Cocktail Party on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at the Caledon Kennel Association Dog Show in Hall #3 of The International Centre, Mississauga, Ontario. The Gala, made possible by generous sponsorSkyehigh Kennels, will take place a half an hour after Best in Show at approximately 7:00 PM.
How to Purchase Tickets
Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased via Allison Foley at[email protected] , at the Caledon Kennel Association Dog Show from Allison or at the CKC booth. Please note that tickets are limited to 75 individuals – so be sure to buy early. CKC Foundation pins will be available upon donation.
Note: Parking at the International Centre is Free.
Proceeds will go to support the Foundation’s funding of research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in dogs and promote public awareness of the benefits of dogs.
